Name: Santa Rita Cabernet Sauvignon
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Valle del Maipo
Country: Chile
Year: 2008
Price: $14

Winery Review: Intense ruby red. Ripe black fruit, plums and fine herbs, gracefully combined with vanilla, cloves and fragrant spices. Complex body mingles soft tannins with a rich texture.

My Review: Very dark red with hints of purple. Smell of dark fruit, dried plum, raisin, and oak on the nose. Heavy tannins and flavors of dried fruit and spices. Semi dry. When I tasted this wine with meat lasagna, it became even more hot and spicy, with earthy flavors coming through.
