Name: Beringer Chenin Blanc
Variety: Chenin blanc
Region: California
Country: US
Year: 2014
Price: $6

Winery Review: A fresh green-apple aroma and vivid citrus and crisp apple flavors are supported by vibrant acidity in this medium-bodied wine. The texture is smooth but crisp, making lots of good food pairings come to mind, from pre-meal cheese, to salads, seafood and veggie pastas.

My Review: Light gold in color. I could still smell the lilies from the last wine, but aside from that distinct aroma, this wine smelled of fresh fruit, green apples, and melon. It tasted of bright, sweet melons, honey dew, and a hint of strawberry. Acidity lingered in the finish. I enjoyed this wine enough but it wasn't anything special. I would drink it again but I don't think I would seek it out myself.

I tasted this without food.
